Yinka Ilori

Fusing his British and Nigerian heritage to tell new stories in contemporary design, Yinka Ilori is a London-based multidisciplinary artist. From furniture and products to large-scale architectural projects, his work is humorous, provocative and fun – covering subjects from travel and urbanism, to the traditional Nigerian parables and West African fabrics that surrounded him as a child.

Love is Blind is a response to the poetic work ‘For Every One’, by the author Jason Reynolds. The inspirational book is about not giving up on your dreams, and Yinka’s design considers how one might interpret dreams, and what these might look like as a pattern. Sketched by hand, then transferred digitally, the colour selection, for Yinka, captures the essence of the book and its subject.
