Bethan Gray

As an award-winning product and furniture designer, Bethan Gray is fuelled by a deep-seated curiosity about global art and culture. With a collaborative approach at the heart of her creative practice, Bethan’s London-based studio creates furniture and home accessories for a roster of adoring clients and some of the world’s most prestigious retailers.

Inky Dhow is inspired by the sails of Dhow boats; traditional Arabian sailing vessels, whose lateen sails are made from fabric strips which are sewn together. Bethan painted the print 1:1 on a large roll of watercolour paper, using ultramarine ink. The pattern’s fluid lines capture the movement of the sails billowing in the wind. Inky Dhow is available in 5 colours.
